TTC Subway Performance Dashboard (Raphael)

SQL Transit data enthusiasts to help with data processing (so close!)

Github Repository: https://github.com/CivicTechTO/ttc_subway_times

Transit agencies are typically bad at communicating how good service is when service is good, and how bad service is when service is bad. Customers remember they’re more salient experiences: the bad ones, without having a metric of how bad service was. Meanwhile, transit agencies’ performance metrics do not reflect the customer experience, so we don’t understand how what they are trying to improve upon affects our experience

Set up a scraper to collect data on predicted arrivals on the TTC’s Subway network (no SRT), have stored in a PostgreSQL database. Trying to convert this data using SQL into observed arrival (and possibly departure) and also track observations flagged as delays.

After that set up a performance dashboard so customers can see how delays impact their trips.
