Topic: What Canada can learn from Brazil on Internet Governance
Natasha will be speaking on Brazil’s Internet Bill of Rights, known as Marco Civil, which was the first in the world. Its novel crowd-sourced creation offers Canada a useful model to strengthen data protection, including privacy, using a human rights-based approach.

- Natasha Tusikov – Natasha is an assistant professor of criminology at York University and author of ‘Chokepoints: Global Private Regulation on the Internet’(2017). She’s also worked as an intelligence analyst at the RCMP in Ottawa.
