Topic: Running great hybrid events on a shoestring
For the past two months, Civic Tech Toronto has shifted our weekly online hacknight events from virtual (Zoom) to hybrid (Zoom + in-person). We’ve learned a lot along the way, and will share how and why we do it.
Speakers:
- Gabe Sawhney – Gabe Sawhney is one of the co-founders of Civic Tech Toronto.
- Sam McGarva – Sam McGarva is a Civic Tech Co-organizer who works in a City Councillor’s office on communications, engagement, policy, and directly supporting residents. She has a background in design, research, and policy and strongly believes in the value of civic engagement.
